Prudence Cook
Director
Pru grew up on a farm between Nhill and Kaniva and has spent her career working across the grains industry in extension, engagement, and strategy. She is deeply interested in how farmers make decisions and how information, values, and practical constraints shape what happens on farm. Her experience working with growers, researchers, and industry partners gives her an informed and balanced view of the agricultural landscape.
What Pru brings to FTA
Systems thinking and a strong people-focused approach
Experience in extension, strategy, and stakeholder engagement through a regional lens
Practical insight into adoption, usability, and what makes change work on farm
Why Pru is passionate about FTA
Pru believes agriculture and regional communities are inseparable - one cannot thrive without the other. She is motivated by opportunities that help farmers retain more value and strengthen the communities they are part of.
Beyond Work
Pru’s daughter is the centre of her world, and she is active in the Dimboola community through local school governance and a women’s roller-skating program that builds confidence and connection.
